The purpose of the department is to prepare a professionally competent specialist who is able to creatively and responsibly approach the resolution of problems of industrial and scientific activities.
The department is part of the Faculty of Law. Dean of the Law Faculty is Kushumbayev A.A. The staff of the department is represented by professors, associate professors, the degree of graduation is 51.8%; The department consists of teachers who have long practical experience of teaching in the system of higher education.
Teachers with scientific degrees and titles are allowed to conduct master’s classes. Scientific supervision of master's theses is carried out by teachers with scientific degrees and titles, who are actively involved in scientific research in the specialty "Jurisprudence".
Scientific, educational and methodical, educational work and the whole educational process is aimed at compliance with relevant standards and improvement of work for the preparation of highly qualified specialists.

In 1995, she graduated from East Kazakhstan State University with a degree in political science. In 2012 she defended her doctoral thesis on the topic “Ethnic Identity as a Factor of Integration and Consolidation in the Republic of Kazakhstan”. Annually participates in international scientific conferences and seminars (Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Russia, Mongolia). She is the author of more than 60 scientific publications, the author of the textbook "Introduction to Ethnopolitology", the monograph "Interethnic consent as a factor in the consolidation of society," the textbook "Prosecutor's supervision in the system of state power." The department is working on the implementation of research work commissioned by the Institution of Kokshetau Higher College "Arna" on the topic "Actual issues of jurisprudence in the context of the application and enforcement of current legislation". According to the results of the research, recommendations will be developed on the effective application and enforcement of the existing criminal, criminal procedural, civil and civil procedural legislation.
