The beginning of June 2025 at Abay Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University was marked by a visit to the university by a delegation from Indonesia, representatives of the University Negeri Surabaya (Universitas Negeri Surabaya) as part of an international cultural exchange program. The delegation included four students and a teacher. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the culture, educational system and traditions of Kazakhstan. The university warmly welcomed the guests, preparing a rich cultural program. The highlights of the cultural program were a tour of the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, the museums of Kokshetau, and participation in a city gala event dedicated to the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which made a great impression on the guests. During the visit to the sights of Astana and Kokshetau, the guests got acquainted with architectural monuments, the history and development of the region, ethnographic features and cultural traditions of our country, which aroused great interest and admiration among the delegation members. Indonesian students noted that visiting historical sites became an important part of their acquaintance with the culture of the people of Kazakhstan. The meeting became another step in strengthening the cultural exchange between Indonesia and Kazakhstan, and gave the opportunity for foreign guests to feel the atmosphere of our hospitality and respect for representatives of different nationalities. As part of the visit, Dr. Wulan Patria Saroinsong, a representative of the State University of Surabaya (Universitas Negeri Surabaya, UNESA) held an author's seminar for the faculty of the Department of Social and Pedagogical Disciplines. The meeting was held in a warm businesslike atmosphere, contributing to the professional development of the participants. All participants of the event received official certificates from the University of Negeri Surabaya, confirming their participation in the international educational session. A press conference was also held with the participation of Dr. Wulan, which was attended by teachers and students of our university, who showed great interest in international academic cooperation. Dr. Wulan spoke in detail about her educational organization, areas of training, opportunities for academic mobility, etc. As a sign of friendship and cooperation, at the end of the meeting, the head of the delegation from Indonesia presented the participants of the meeting with memorable souvenirs from the University of Negeri Surabaya. Such initiatives strengthen academic partnerships and contribute to the integration of Kazakhstani education into the international educational space, being an important step towards strengthening international academic ties. In turn, for students of the State University of Surabaya (Universitas Negeri Surabaya, UNESA), a series of interesting lectures and workshops were held at our university, promoting educational and cultural exchange of experience. During the week before the Summer School, Indonesian students actively got acquainted with our university, got acquainted with the city, visited attractions, participated in meetings, sessions and conferences. In addition to certificates, they received transcripts from our university. We are glad that these meetings became not only a useful experience, but also a reason for new ideas, acquaintances and professional growth.
