INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR DEDICATED TO THE PROBLEMS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL DIAGNOSTICS

On October 28, 2025, the Department of Social and Pedagogical Work at A. Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University held an international online seminar on "Psychological Diagnostics and the Professional Boundaries of a Specialist." It brought together more than 35 specialists, teachers, master's students in the "Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education" and "Psychology and Pedagogy," educational programs, students, and psychologists from various regions of Kazakhstan and other countries.

The seminar was organized by Kali Botakoz Kamatayevna, a lecturer in the Department of Social and Pedagogical Work. The speakers were Lana Yarkander (Sweden, Greece (Agios Nikolaos), a psychologist, teacher, consultant, and expert in cyber-training technologies, and Vasily Beloly (Finland, Helsinki), a specialist in family counseling, strategic approaches, and short-term therapy.

Participants discussed the following issues: "Psychological Diagnostics as the Ability to See a Person's Inner State," "Diagnostic Levels: Physical, Mental, and Social," "Psychologist as a Living Diagnostic Tool — "A Psychologist doesn’t see with the Eyes, but with the Mind," "Empathy, Observation, and Self-Reflection as Professional Qualities of a Specialist," "CyberNumber Technology — an Innovative Method for Understanding a Person's Psychophysiological State," and more.

It was noted that the seminar helped to take a fresh look at diagnostics—not as a testing process, but as a deep understanding of a person through mindfulness, attention, and empathy. Each participant gained valuable professional experience and an understanding of the importance of maintaining personal and professional boundaries in practice.
