March 31 this year an international online roundtable meeting was held on the topic "The practice of using judicial mediation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation: issues of theory and practice of application." The event was organized by the intellectual club of lawyers and mediators “Qorgau” at the International Academy of Mediation and Negotiations “Qorgau”, the court of Nur-Sultan, the Institute of State and Law of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution “Tyumen State University”. The event was moderated by G. R. Rakhmetova, Judge of the Nur-Sultan Court, Sh.S. Togaybaeva, Candidate of Law, Professor of the “Jurisprudence” Department of A. Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau University, Kholodionova Yu.V., Candidate of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory of State and Law, International Law of the Institute of State and Law of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education "Tyumen State University". The round table was also attended by judges from Nur-Sultan and Almaty, mediators, lawyers, teachers of Tyumen State University, universities "Turan-Astana" and "Astana Zhastary", youth policy department, master's student of A. Myrzakhmetov Kokshetau UniversityMusina M. A meaningful dialogue took place on the application of mediation procedures in courts of general jurisdiction and the exchange of experience in the field of mediation and alternative dispute resolution, on the popularization of mediation as one of the possible ways to resolve the conflict. The event became a platform for communication of professionals in the field of alternative dispute resolution and productive dialogue with public and state institutions.
